No, Mr. President – We Are the Ones America Has Been Waiting For (Part 4)

The first three installments of this series have covered roughly the first eight months of the Obama administration, during which time it became evident that this president and his fellow self-styled intellectuals had little concern with the manner in which the American people viewed their handling of the country.  From racial baiting to breathtaking financial incompetence to strong-arming tactics, it seemed the average American citizen was now waking up to each new day having to somehow make sense of some incident or decision that merely on its face defied the foundations of logic and common sense.  Part four picks up in early September, when the administration continued to make rather curious decisions regarding the Zelaya situation in Honduras, decisions that can easily be viewed as “strong-arming”.

September 4, 2009 - The Obama administration threatens to withhold up to $200,000,000 dollars of humanitarian aid to Honduras until Manuel Zelaya is restored to power – the same Manuel Zelaya whose seeming intention was to run over that country’s Constitution and install himself as a socialist dictator (those guys are always so nice to the people).

So, I’ll put the question to all those “peace-and-justice-loving” liberals – should we do what President Obama wants (since he’s always right), or let the innocents starve to death?

Get back to me when the irreconcilable mental conflict finds a way to resolve itself. Might take a long time, however.

September 10, 2009 - Cass Sunstein is confirmed as White House Regulatory Czar. Glenn Beck refers to him as “the most dangerous man in America”, since this is the one man whose intention is to pull and push all the cool levers and buttons and to make the American people behave like a bunch of lab specimens. His book, Nudge, essentially says just that – the American people don’t need to be “told” what to do; they just need to be gently “pushed” into behaving as government wishes them to behave.

And, remember, the political Left, for the past 40 years or so, has always pounded the mantra that political dissent (peacefully protesting – well, they usually get 50% of that correct) is “patriotic”. Well, there’s one issue on which we agree. Cass Sunstein, however, is on record as saying that government should not be shy about “infiltrating” those groups (can you say “Tea Party”?) that protest its goals.

That sounds pretty ominous and dark there, Cass – for a “peace-loving” Leftist, of course.

You dweeb.

September 16, 2009 - General Stanley McChrystal, commander of the allied forces in the Afghan war, assesses the difficulty of the situation with which the U.S. is faced and requests 40,000 additional troops from the Obama administration. I’ve always maintained that self-styled liberals are people who, by their very nature, do not want any personal responsibility for anything in life and consequently do not enjoy being put into positions in which they must make difficult decisions. After all, we should beImage may be NSFW.

living in a Utopia, an imaginary place where there are never, ever any difficult decisions to be made.

Most bona-fide liberals hem and haw and unconsciously hope that the whole nasty decision-making business just goes away, for various reasons – all while portraying themselves as “thoughtful”, rather than as the actual cowards that they are. In this case, President Obama shows his true colors, as he makes General McChrystal wait approximately 75 days before he renders the decision that will be the least politically damaging to himself to both sides of the political spectrum. He sends 30,000 additional troops.

….and General McChrystal continued to wait while more American soldiers were killed in battle….

September 25, 2009 - From 4 am until 7 pm, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was held on Capitol Hill, beside the White House. There were over 50,000 Muslims that Day in D.C. Seems harmless enough on paper, right? No harm, no foul, right?Image may be NSFW.

Strangely enough, however -

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a “National Day of Prayer.” In 1988 President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer. In June 2007, though, (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA was “no longer a Christian nation.” This year, President Obama cancelled the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House under the ruse of “not wanting to offend anyone.”

Apparently, it doesn’t matter if Christians are “offended” by this event – the signals that were coming out of this White House seemed to indicate that the vast, vast majority of people in this nation obviously don’t count as “anyone” anymore (in many ways). Strictly speaking, this sure seems strange, especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be converted…..well……

The website http://www.islamoncapitolhill.com/ will give Americans all the information they need. Personally, I think the American people should pay particular attention to the very bottom of the page, where it reads, “OUR TIME HAS COME”.

October 9, 2009 – There was a time in the not-so-recent past when a Nobel Prize actually meant and stood for something, namely for a degree of human accomplishment in a specific field that adImage may be NSFW.

vanced the frontiers of human knowledge and evolution.  Sadly, those days are most assuredly gone, as it now stands for little more than the official seal of approval for the recipient’s political worldview.  If there’s any one, single person on planet earth that can make an iron-clad case for Barack Obama’s having been handed the Nobel Peace Prize, then he or she will definitely be the first.

So, let’s see – on what basis and credentials was Barack Obama “handed” this award?  Prior to his having been elected winner of the American Idol pageant in 2008, what had he truly accomplished in the real world that advanced the cause of world peace?  Was it his having had sealed divorce records forced open to get his political career off the ground in Chicago?  Was it his association with the likes of Bill Ayers, Tony Rezco, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and Valerie Jarrett?  Possibly – all those people have shown themselves to be demonstrably concerned with furthering the cause of world peace.

No, it seems to me that Barack Obama was handed this once-presitigious award for two reasons: he’s a leftist, and because he’s not George W. Bush.

November 5, 2009 - A Muslim officer in the American military opens fire at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 13 American soldiers who were in no sense prepared to defend themselves from one of their own alleged “brothers-in-arms” who was, in fact, a wolf under the cover of a sheep’s (coward’s) wool.Image may be NSFW.

The Islamic terrorist screams “ALLAH AKBAR!” as he opens fire, the Muslim expression for “God is Greatest” and what is typically screamed during the onset of a terrorist attack.

Yet, President Obama insists that we should not “rush to judgements”, even though we have all of the evidence. Hmmm….didn’t stop him from “rushing to judgements” with regard to the Cambridge Police back on July 23rd.

Strange.

The mainstream media (with the obvious exception of Fox), no doubt finding it impossible to ignore this situation lest they completely undress themselves in public, attempts to somehow, inexplicably, portray the assailant – Nidal Malik Hasan – as the victim.

Veteran’s Day, 2009 - An incredible photograph is snapped of President Obama not saluting at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. No reason to pay respect there, right? – for a young man who sacrificed his life for the ideals of America and went to his grave without his identity even being known? If I had to guess as to what the soldier’s response would be to having been shunned by his Commander-in-Chief – and I don’t presume to speak for him – he’d probably shrug it off and see it as no big deal, as he only did “what he was asked to do.”

December 1, 2009 - After approximately 75 days, President Obama deigns to respond to General McChrystal’s request for 40,000 troops in Afghanistan in a made-for-tv, look-at-me-I’m-President special at, of all places, West Point. The expression on the faces of the cadets in the audience says it all, although, truth be told, there is the possibility that they weren’t necessarily upset with their Commander-in-Chief’s disdain for their sense of American Honor: by all accounts, they were held in the auditorium for the better part of the day. Can you say “captive audience”?

Even more revealing is Chris Matthews’s response (MSNBC) to the speech, during which he refers to the President’s toughness in making such a speech in “enemy territory.”

What do you say to that?

Christmas Day, 2009 - Islamic fundamentalists once again feel as though now is the time to test what’s left of American strength by sending one of their “soldiers” to America on a plane bound for Detroit (though, given what the liberal ideology has done to Detroit, leveling it probably wouldn’t be such a bad idea). At one point during the flight, this young extremist decides that attempting to blow off his balls for Allah is a pretty good idea, but, alas, he can’t even get that right. The explosive does not detonate as planned, and several of the passengers on the flight manage to subdue him. Interestingly enough, shortly after having been taken into custody by the authorities, the potential assailant begins talking almost immediately – that is, of course, until the U.S. Department of Justice intervenes, reads him his Miranda rights, and helps him to lawyer up. End of information.

During the course of the ensuing days, a veritable plethora of information is revealed to the public, indicating that there were big, bright, red flags all over the place that screamed out that this young man was, indeed, a major geo-political risk, not the least of which was his father’s decision to report his son as a potential radical jihadist. Despite all this, Allah’s “soldier” is somehow allowed to board an international flight (let alone hop on a bicycle).

Seemingly the best part of all of this was our Homeland Security Director’s (Janet Napolitano) contention that “the system worked.”

Wait….which system?
